AFP Massachusetts Chapter Diversity Fellowship Program - March 9, 2016

Encouraging diversity within the fundraising profession

The AFP Massachusetts Chapter Diversity Fellowship provides up to ten qualified individuals annually with two year scholarships that include:

• Membership in AFP International and Massachusetts Chapter for two years
• Enrollment in AFP MA’s Fundraising Basics Course
• Attendance at monthly educational workshops and brown bag lunches
• A Mentor who offers guidance and how-to advice
• Informal networking opportunities with current and past Fellows
• Enrollment in the AFP MA Annual Conference on Philanthropy for two years

An AFP Massachusetts Fellow:

• Works in a 501(c)(3) organization
• Responsible for fundraising with an operating budget under $3 million or an organization that raises less than $1 million in private philanthropic dollars
• Is a member of a racial or ethnically diverse background that is under represented in the development field
• Has the full support of executive team to fully participate in the AFP MA Diversity Fellows Program
• Commits to participate in all programs and events
• Continues membership in the AFP Massachusetts Chapter at the conclusion of the Fellowship.
