Mayor Walsh celebrates completion of 129 new apartments at Old Colony - June 26, 2014

129 new apartments completed, construction begins on 40 additional apartments as part of the phase two redevelopment effort at the Boston Housing Authority's Old Colony public housing development in South Boston

Boston- On Thursday, June 26, 2014, Mayor Martin J. Walsh celebrated the second phase of redevelopment at the Old Colony public housing community in South Boston, marking the midway point for redevelopment of the site. The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) began overhauling the site in 2009.
