Malden Housing Authority – Modernization & Procurement Director – $15K Hiring Bonus!

The Malden Housing Authority (MHA) is seeking to hire a Director of Modernization & Procurement. This responsible full-time (35 hour/week) Executive Leadership position requires the incumbent to work directly with the Executive Director, Project Managers, Public Housing Administrative and Maintenance Staff and procured Vendors in the development, implementation, maintenance and completion of all MHA Procurement and Capital Modernization Program activities.

This Position requires extensive experience in public procurement and capital project construction administration, together with substantial knowledge of architectural, engineering and designrequirements.

Experience or familiarity with HUD and EOHLC regulatory requirements is desirable.

Incumbent must have or be able to attain credentials as a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) within six (6) months of hiring.

Ten or more years of actual construction work experience with at least three years as a supervisor or manager is desired.

Possession of a current valid MA Unrestricted Construction Supervisor’s License is also highly preferred.

Six-month probationary work period if hired; must also have and maintain a valid MA Driver’s License for full term of employment.

$15,000 hiring bonus: $5,000 will be awarded after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period, and an additional $10,000 will be provided upon finishing one full calendar year of employment.Annual Base Salary range of $100,000 – $120,000 with great benefits. If the best candidate is chosen, MHA is open to discussing and possibly adjusting hiring terms or requirements.
