Pro-Housing Education
and Action

Whether you’re brand new to housing advocacy, concerned about the impact of the housing shortage on the workforce, or an experienced housing practitioner, CHAPA can provide training, technical assistance, and educational materials so you can advance meaningful change at the local and state level.

CHAPA serves community advocates, local officials, business and civic leaders, and those who are simply curious, with accessible resources and hands-on support to make advocacy easy.

CHAPA’s award-winning Municipal Engagement Initiative (MEI) works with cities and towns across Massachusetts to ensure everyone — from the Berkshires to the Cape & Islands — has the tools to say yes to more affordable housing in their communities.

Through local coalition building, MEI works with residents on the ground to change the conversation and create healthy, equitable, affordable, and vibrant communities.

Become a catalyst for change in your community by participating in CHAPA’s free, six-month fellowship designed for city and town councilors, select and planning board members, and members of local boards and commissions who can impact housing
