Position Title:    CDFI Loan Servicing Specialist                              Department:    Lending Department

Reports To:        NHFC CDFI Director of Lending                          Location:      Taunton, MA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Intake of loan applications, creating electronic and/or paper client files 
  • Maintain compliant client files 
  • Some understanding of loan products, regulations, and compliance requirements 
  • Qualifying applicants for loans by analyzing income, assets, etc. 
  • Closing approved loans with clients
  • Loan Servicing tasks such as issue payoff letters, discharges, subordinations, etc. 
  • Create/Modify Flyers and PowerPoint decks
  • Data/Entry to help maintain an accurate growing database of contacts and applicants
  • Other related marketing and/or administrative tasks as necessary
  • Organize department files and communicate pertinent information to the proper individuals
  • Administrative office support including supply inventory, copying, scanning and filing
  • Contribute towards a professional environment

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a high school diploma 
  • Have attended financial or business courses or its equivalent plus one to three years' experience in a financial institution (lending department preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical skills/concepts
  • Strong time management skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficiency with Office Suite, email, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and writing skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Work is performed in an office environment.
