Resident Service Coordinator - Northbridge, MA and Webster, MA

Summary: The primary function of the Resident Service Coordinator (RSC) is to effectively assist in maintaining resident tenancy through a variety of programs enabling them to age in place.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome new residents, establish contact with existing residents, and explain the resident services program, its offerings, and the RSC role in assisting residents who desire access to benefits and services.
  • Identify and assess individual needs when appropriate; inform the resident of available resources and provide support in accessing services successfully.
  • Develop positive relationships with local non-profit agencies, social service agencies/providers, residents, and community.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all residents served by using the AASC/data base. Maintain and update accurate confidential files in a secure locked location.
  • Communicate through written or verbal any concerns, issues, or problems relevant to property with senior resident services coordinator.
  • Required to complete certification by Massachusetts Association Resident Service Coordinators (MARSCH) within first two years of employment. Attend classes, workshops, or trainings a minimum of 12 hours each year to maintain certification. Be available to attend weeklong training conference annually. Attend monthly Resident service coordinator meetings.
  • Host monthly meeting with residents related to health and wellness by locating local providers/vendors to present on a variety of relative topics.
  • Plan and execute two social events every year with property manager. Host monthly meeting with residents related to health and wellness by locating local providers/vendors to present on a variety of relative topics.
  • Report lease violations to property manager when observed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related specialty. 1-3 years of resident services experience or equivalent with the aging population.
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Must maintain a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Must have exceptional knowledge of computer systems and databases, Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
