Massachusetts to Receive $5.7 million from National Housing Trust Fund

On May 7, HUD announced $266.8 million in allocations from the National Housing Trust Fund to states. Massachusetts will receive $5.7 million in 2018 from the Trust Fund. The total allocation for the United States is a 22% increase from the 2017 allocation and a 45% increase from the inaugural 2016 allocation. In Massachusetts, the funds have been used to build and preserve affordable supportive housing for extremely low income renters. Massachusetts received $4.6 million from the trust fund in 2017 and $3.4 million from the fund in 2016.
