Jordan Stocker joined CHAPA in September of 2024 as Senior Policy Associate, assisting in the development and implementation of CHAPA’s policy agenda.
Before this role, he served as the Independent Living Housing Projects Coordinator, working with the Massachusetts Statewide Independent Living Council and the ten Independent Living Centers to improve housing outcomes for people with disabilities. He worked to build partnerships with affordable housing stakeholders and housing authorities and connected staff and consumers from ILCs with relevant housing policy updates. He also administered working groups to ensure the link between accessible housing advocacy and direct services was strong.
Previously, he worked with elders in Plymouth County to identify affordable and accessible housing resources. Jordan grew up in Essex Junction, Vermont, and attended the University of Vermont, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work.
