The Impact of Sequestration on the Section 8 Program

We are just beginning to see the impact of sequestration on federal housing programs, including Section 8.  Administrators are struggling to maintain current vouchers, and anticipating what might happen as sequestration moves forward.  At this forum, we will talk with national and state experts about what is going on currently in Massachusetts, and what we might see as more cuts are implemented.  We'll also brainstorm about creative solutions to attempt to mitigate our losses, and ways in which we can cooperate in the future to preserve Section 8 in our state, both for the tenant-based and project-based programs.
