Both members and development sponsors should consider participating.

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is now accepting nominations to fill five vacancies on its 2015 Advisory Council. The vacant seats will be filled by individuals actively involved in providing or promoting housing and community lending in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed San Antonio Mayor Julián Castro as the next Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) with a 71-26 vote. The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) congratulates Secretary Castro and welcomes him to Washington.

Over $83 Million Will Build or Preserve 1,328 Units of Housing, Create Over 2,000 Construction Jobs SPRINGFIELD – Monday, July 7, 2014 – Governor Deval Patrick today announced $83.6 million in funding to create 24 affordable housing projects across the state, building on the Patrick Administration’s commitment to improving housing infrastructure to support growth and opportunity throughout the Commonwealth. In all, the projects will create 1,328 units of housing and over 2,000 jobs.

At the 42nd Annual Gala on June 12, 2014, the National Housing Conference (NHC) and housing community honored Citizens’ Housing and Planning Association (CHAPA) with the 2014 Housing Visionary Award for its work to ensure the passage of a $1.4 billion housing production and preservation bond bill. 129 new apartments completed, construction begins on 40 additional apartments as part of the phase two redevelopment effort at the Boston Housing Authority's Old Colony public housing development in South Boston Boston- On Thursday, June 26, 2014, Mayor Martin J. Walsh celebrated the second phase of redevelopment at the Old Colony public housing community in South Boston, marking the midway point for redevelopment of the site. The Boston Housing Authority (BHA) began overhauling the site in 2009.
